I saw Murphy's Law when I was 13. They opened up for the Beastie Boys. Go, Airport Music Hall, go. GONZO, byotch.

messiestobjects

Once, just ONCE, I wish I knew what you were talking about.

Heather

No, you don't.

Heather

1) Gonzo is the best Muppet. By far. 2) Airport Music Hall was the venue in Allentown at which I saw the Beastie Boys with their opening acts Public Enemy and Murphy's Law. And I was discussing the place on my own blog around Thanksgiving because I also saw Faith No More there and one of the kids I went with beat-boxed all the way home. 3) And you know, byotch is some sort of slang that all the kids are using. How's that? Sorry.

messiestobjects

Gonzo always struck me as too willfully weird. I mean, he tried too hard. But in actuality, he wasn't that weird at all; he often had very normal motivations for everything he did. The other Muppets are all deeply weird in their own idiosynchratic ways, and entertained me much more.
Oh, new slang. Yeah, The Shins sang about that crazy stuff.

Heather

In actuality, the Swedish Chef is my favorite, but I thought that'd make me sound crazy. Because no one can understand him.

Heather

Well, except for chickens.

Gary

Thanks for the recommendations. Always looking for music to add to the WFZR playlist. It's really hard to have all the good music ever recorded.

messiestobjects

What do you mean borky borky bork chickens bork?
It's hard to have all the good music, but it's fun to try! BTW, I signed in successfully and posted a commment, but it never showed... Wordpress seems to think I'm a spam monster an awful lot.

Heather

Which Muppet are you?

messiestobjects

How's this for karma?
You scored as The Great Gonzo. You might be far out there, but you sure know how to have fun! People love you for the wacky things you do! Whoopeee!

Heather

I do enjoy Karma.

Gary

apparently I'm Rowlf the Dog - fine with me I love dogs.

Yeah my spam filter trapped you. I don't think it will do it again.

Heather

I can see you as Rowlf. I still can't see myself as Pepe. He's not even one of the original Muppets. It's a scam perpetrated by Long John Silver.

Christy

Remind me to loan you season one of the Muppet Show next time you're around.

Heather

Wha? Is he original? Well, how come I don't remember him, then? I thought all things factual depended on my memory of them. They don't? What are you saying? I'm scared.

Cristy

Remember Pigs In Space? or Paging Doctor Bob, Doctor Bob.... Speaking of Hesse (yes, you did), have you ever read Demian or the Collection of Fairy Tales? After having read your agnostic/athiest debate I thought you might enjoy Demian. It's where Hesse dives into the idea of Artabraxas... worth a read if you've the time, what with your eye surgery (Thai-To Wong Foo adventure).. perhaps you'll be unable to enjoy those pages. Animal rocks! (sheyah- totaly outdated Wayne's World 90's kid slang).

messiestobjects

I've read everything by Hesse published in english... Demian was the first of his books I read. I loved the fairy tales, also. It has been a number of years, though, maybe ten or so, so it may be about time to revisit him.
