Gary

The Thriller thing was bizarre. I bet the "girl" is very popular.

It's as good a way to spend your time in prison as any, I suppose.

Sissy

This is wonderful! As I, too, have nothing to say as of late. Perhaps an ode is in order.

Sissy

And I'm a HUGE Muppets fan. Muppets rule. Especially when they are out of character. But I loath M.J. Loath him.

messiestobjects

MJ is a vile construct, no doubt. Although I used to love that video. I was at about the right age to be one of MJ's little buddys. See? He's good at connecting with the young people.

Sissy

Everyone has a talent.

Miss Luongo

You could always talk about the possibility of human extinction. Or the characterization problems with Nancy from Weeds.

messiestobjects

Whatever. :)

Sissy

Human extinction. My favorite topic.

Sissy

Oh, I know! Talk about movies next, Michael. I finally have my list of "Movies That Made Me Think" post complete, but the trackback will be stale if I attach it to your post from months ago. How about a new post on movies? Then mine will make more sense. Isn't all about me and my needs? Eh?

Gary

Is it sad if humans go extinct if no one is left around to be sad? hmmm? Should I even bother getting out of bed in the morning? hmmmm....

messiestobjects

Well... I just watched Children of Men again, and it made me think again... AND it's about the possible extinction of the human race so, nice.

Other movies other movies... anything by Richard Linklater makes me go, "Huh". A Scanner Darkly is fantastic. And I recently re-watched Slacker, a true classic of 90's independent cinema. Although, I hated School of Rock.

messiestobjects

Oh AND something I just read... Linklater is currently directing a movie that will take 12 years to complete! It's called Boyhood, and it's about a boy's life starting when he's 6 years old and will finish when he graduates high school, all using the same actor, apparently. Sounds like a risky venture, but it could be really cool. He started it in 2001 and we'll find out how it works in 2013.
