Julie and I took a side trip through my old hometown of Ligonier, PA on the way back from dropping her Grandmother off at home after Christmas. It hasn't changed a bit. It looks a lot like Star's Hollow (the fictional town from The Gilmore Girls) this time of year. But Julie discovered that Frank Lloyd Wright's most famous work, Fallingwater, was only a few miles away from there and so we made another detour to go see it. It was beautiful, of course. You're not allowed to take pictures of the inside, which is a real shame for you, but I snapped a few of the usual outside shots.
There was another Frank Lloyd Wright house just a few miles from Fallingwater named Kentuck Knob, so we went to see that too. It was more modest and also awesome. His houses make me sick with envy. If I were to design my own house, I would steal the hell out of his ideas. Again no pictures of the inside, and only one or two crappy outside shots.
