I thought I would go ahead and post this little vignette I witnessed while in Guantanamo Bay since it's going to be another week or so before I can post the rest of my Gitmo pix and junk.
Two Iguanas! One big, one slightly bigger! A battle for territory, or a chick Iguana, or who knows what! Both will survive! But one will be slightly more bloodied than the other! Who will it be? The face-off commences!
How close to them were you? They look scary! I surely wouldn't have the gut to stick around! Great photos! Ana

Thanks! I wasn't that close really... about 6 to ten feet away maybe. Telephoto lenses are key for animal shots. One of them did start heading for me at one point and I backed off, but then they started scrapping again and forgot all about me. Anyway, one of the guys at the base told me that they're not afraid of people because some people feed them, even though you're not supposed to. So I think he was just hoping I'd give him some round 3 Gatorade or something.
